Shahnaz has extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of Immigration Law. She frequently represents clients before the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in both the First Tier and Upper Tribunal on both private and legal aid matters. She has vast experience in lodging applications for Judicial Review, including applications for interim relief.
Shahnaz joined Newfields in 2023, working within our Families and Individuals team. She and has a reputation for ‘always going that extra mile for clients… is very approachable and a great communicator’. Shahnaz has been commended for her ‘outstanding work for clients from abusive backgrounds’ and is ranked in the Legal 500 2023 Directory as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’.
Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her family; they particularly enjoy travelling.
