Newfields has been invited to speak at the UKCISA Annual Conference about its experience of advising clients applying to the EU Settlement Scheme. The conference, which will take place 1st – 3rd July 2020 at Swansea University, sees delegates from Higher and Further Education, Student Unions’ and sector organisations come together to explore topics focusing on immigration advice and compliance through workshops and seminars delivered by peers, Home Office and Sopra Steria officials as well as the private sector.
It’s a welcome return to the conference for two Newfields advisers, Glyn Lloyd and Abbie Lacey, both of whom have previously held immigration advice roles in the higher and further education sectors and have been regular attendees at UKCISA events. This year’s conference will see Newfields host a seminar entitled ‘EU Settlement Scheme – the clock is ticking!’ Delegates will hear about our experience of delivering immigration advice to EU citizens, the challenges and misconceptions surrounding the scheme and seek to equip attendees with the tools to deliver holistic advice to its staff and students.
UPDATE: Due to the ongoing health crisis around Covid-19 the UKCISA Annual conference has been cancelled for 2020. We look forward to working with UKCISA at future events.
